At the heart of the Hautes Fagnes, there is garden which opens the doors to the magical world of herbal medicine and which reveals the secrets of its health plants.
On a 2 hectare terrain, 8000 m² have been laid-out to gather about 200 medicinal plants regrouped by theme or by usage indication. Thanks to a system of original and innovative didactic panels , you can , like in a large book, "read" every plant. Each one is identified by a small label indicating what it's used for, which part is used in herbal medicine and its toxicity degree. The rest of the terrain has been left in its savage condition, so the visitors can discover the typical and extraordinary flora of the Hautes Fagnes region.
Closes at 5 pm.
Educational visit in 4 languages (FR, NL, DE and EN).
Duration: 1-2 hours minimum.
Groups: programme organised by appointment (1/2 day or 1 day), rate at request.
Access: motorway E42, exit 7 "Heusy"; follow direction of "Baraque Michel" and then "Elsenborn". - Camp.
